Last night was Wednesday Night Gaming and I played two games of Hey! That's My Fish, one game of Liberte, and Fits (using two of the new Bezier expansions).
I have a pretty detailed session report of Liberte pending on boardgamegeek, and with the World Boardgaming Championships this afternoon, I probably won't write as much, but here are some really brief thoughts:
Hey! That's My Fish: I played 2x Two Player games and I must be getting rusty with this great game. Using some laminated sheets to aid the setup of the game really reduces setup time and I was able to get two games in with my Mom while waiting for Mike to arrive. Oh, and I was beat both times, which is not typical. So, next time this one comes out I will have to get my game on!
Liberte: I will post the session report link once it is up.
Fits: The game is fun, and Mike and I taught Dan the game in about 2 minutes. We wanted to play some of the Bezier expansions and I was really excited about the "LOTS" expansion where you have to spell out words, but sadly I had messed up the printing of the expansions and we were missing that set for three of the four colors. Anyhow, I will get those made next week. In the meantime, we played two of the other crazy expansions and they are a much needed addition to the basic four boards that the game comes with. Thank you Ted for releasing these expansions!
That's it for now, I am heading out to the WBC this afternoon and will commute back and forth until Sunday. I plan on playing in the Wabash Cannonball and Age of Steam tournaments, but I may join into some others if I feel like it. Tournaments are not my thing, but they are a scheduled chance to game, which I like. So, more on that later.
Until then, [insert snappy ending note here].
