Here I am in Maropeng holding "Fried Chicken" flavored potato chips.
And this is Jeremy at the entrance to the Sterkfontein caves, where they discovered some of the earliest known humanoid skeletons.
And here I am standing near (as close as I could) to a descendant of the mighty African auroch at the Rhino and Lion Nature Preserve.
Onto Florence, this is Jeremy and myself standing near the David copy in the Piazza della Signora.
This statue is located inside of the Palazzo Vecchio. This is one of a number of statues that represent the trials of Hercules. On the other hand, it also represents a move that would never be legal in modern day wrestling.
The bridge in this picture is the Ponte Vecchio. I mentioned the history of this bridge in a prior post, but you can now see how the market stalls were built over the river. Jeremy figures that this bridge is bound to fall into the river sooner or later, using the logic that there is simply too much gold on this bridge for it not to fall into the river.
Finally, it's spaghetti time! This was a wonderful plate of food.
Lunch was tripe, or cow's stomach. It wasn't as gross as it sounds. In fact, it was almost sort of good.
Last but not least, here is a picture of a beautiful (one of many) church in Florence. This is a picture of the back of the Duomo.
